Bassoon Reed

All reeds come with basic care instructions.

Bassoon reeds are made to order and the process usually takes up to 2 weeks to complete. Please keep this in mind for timing your future purchases in advance of your performances. You will receive an email when reeds are shipped. Reeds will be priority mailed, tracked, insured, and arrive in 1-3 business days.

Please contact me within 5 business days of package arrival with photo evidence of cracked or damaged reed, before use, to receive a replacement. A refund will be offered via email if a replacement reed will take longer to process than the standard two-week time frame.

For lost mail or damaged packages, please contact me as soon as reasonably possible. Replacements will be available for confirmed lost mail from the post office or photo evidence of damaged package. No refunds or replacements will be given for an undeliverable mailing address, such as a rural address with no post office delivery, that you provided on your receipt. Please contact me in advance of purchase for any delivery questions to insure accurate delivery.

Instructions on protecting and maintaining your reeds are included with purchase. Like a snowflake, each hand made reed is unique to the next. Reeds are made from bamboo which naturally swells and shrinks with temperature, humidity, and altitude. Keeping all of these factors consistent will allow your reed to play more consistent. Please contact me if you have any problems playing on the reeds. No refunds or exchanges will be given for a reed’s play-ability or any other reason than stated in this policy. However, I want you to be happy with your purchase and will give you advice on adjusting your reed to make it more playable for your needs. Please do not return any products as they will not be refunded.
